12th hole Beverly G&CC
Copetown, ON - Jim Zwolak (Braeben Academy) went out in the morning draw on Monday and posted a tidy 2 under par 68 on the 6600 yard par 70 Beverly Golf and Country Club. Zwolak's round was rather tame on the card featuring 4 birdies, 2 bogeys, and 12 pars. Ciaren McAleavey (Glen Abbey), Ron Kenesky (Hidden Lake), and Jim Kenesky (Hidden Lake) all played in the afternoon and couldn't catch the clubhouse leader. Ron Kenesky and Jim Kenesky had the potential all day to catch Zwolak. Ron's round was surprisingly halted on the par 5's, playing the three holes a total of 2 over par. While Jim Kenesky's round was up and down with 6 birdies, 4 bogeys, 1 double bogey, and 7 pars. However, the round of the day very well could have come from Eddie Maunder (Deerfield). Eddie finished at one over par 71 where he made a quadruple bogey 9 on the par five 6th hole. Alf Callowhill (Glen Abbey Academy) also fired a one over par 71 to round out the top 5. The Beverly Golf & Country Club was in excellent shape even through the heat wave the area has seen. The Golden Horseshoe Tour would like to thank Head Golf Professional Mark Cunningham and his staff for a great day at their facility. The next event on the GHT schedule is Monday August 8th at King's Forest Golf Club in Hamilton.
